Increasing plant capacity to accommodate population growth

The sewage treatment plant in Hope performed well for many years but needed an upgrade, including construction of a third aerated cell.

The District has accepted Opus DaytonKnight’s recommendation to construct a third aerated cell and to replace the old coarse bubble, static tube aeration system in the old cells and equip them and the new cell with a fine bubble aeration system.

Due to the higher oxygen transfer capacity of the new system, the two existing blowers will be able to also supply the air to the new cell.
