Art Washuta was appointed to the role of President, Canada in January 2016.
Prior to his appointment he was the Senior Vice President of Opus Stewart Weir. He has also held senior management positions at AECOM and UMA Engineering Ltd.
He is responsible for the Canadian operations of Opus with a team of 650 staff in 16 offices offering services in geomatics, transportation, water, wastewater, environmental engineering and infrastructure asset management.
Art is a Civil Engineer with 40 years of experience in planning, design, project management and construction management for heavy civil, transportation and environmental projects.
Gordon DavidsonChief Financial Officer
Gordon was appointed to the role of Chief Financial Officer in 2013 and his role is integral to maintaining our strong financial position, charting our commercial growth, and achieving our strategic objectives.
Gordon joined WSP Opus after four years as the CFO at Kiwibank and CFO at Inland Revenue. Prior to that he oversaw the successful integration of the finance functions at National ANZ in 2003, following which he became Head of Finance for ANZ.
He is well respected in the fi nance sector for his strategic leadership experience and business acumen. Gordon has a BA in Accountancy and Economics, and an MBA from the Edinburgh Business School. He is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland
Ingrid Shannon-SmithDirector, People & Technical Capital and Strategy
Ingrid was appointed to the role of Director, People & Technical Capital and Strategy in December 2015, joining from her most recent role as Global Managing Director of The Cambridge Project, where she worked with global blue chip organisations to enhance economic growth through leadership and organisational development.
Prior to this, Ingrid was Vice President for Organisation Development & Change at Nokia, where she re-designed processes and practices to unleash new talent and shorten development timetables. She brings extensive experience in innovation, research, and behavioural science.
Ingrid holds a Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Educational Psychology, and a Master of Research, Educational Psychology from the University of Western Australia.
